This election is a special one. For the first time in Austin, City Council will actually be an accurate representation of the people they serve. This is due to the adoption of Single Member Districts. Now you have opportunity to vote for an individual who lives in the same community in which you do.
The power of electing the "right" person comes with great responsibility. We must elect someone who can work with the neighborhoods inside District 3. We must elect someone who can work across Party and District lines. We must elect someone who realizes that the neighborhoods are the heartbeat of District 3 and understands the needs of the neighborhood are the key to stability and growth for our community. And ultimately realizes that District 3 is a vital piece of the larger puzzle that is the City of Austin.
I believe I'm that person who can bring balance, I believe I can bring compromise and I believe I can bring a new perspective to City Hall for the residents of District 3.
